Wehnke's Lone Pine Farm is proud of this year's filly sired by Mr Baron Down and out of our great AQHA Coosa
mare.  This cross has been proven to produce great all-around foals that have haltered well in the futurity shows.
We have been breeding and raising high quality quarter horses since 1956- over 57 years!  We have bred many
futurity and circuit show winning horses.  Our horses have been used in a variety of disciplines over the years-
everything from halter, performance, pleasure, timed events, calf roping, and barrels.  This filly is a special one-
exhibiting excellent conformation, disposition, and bloodlines.  Her sire has been genetics tested and is N/N
(negative) for the AQHA 5 panel- PSSM1, GBED, HERDA, MH, & HYPP.  We have decided to hold on to this
girl! :)  She is pictured on the left at 8 weeks old and on the right at 4 months old.

In memory of
Cord LaBarge...
On January 25, 2006, we lost a very special boy in our community.  Cord
LaBarge, age 14, died.  Our community was devastated.  On the drive home
from his wake, I told Merv if we had a stud colt born this spring, his name
would be "Cord".  On April 1st we received a postcard in the mail saying
"Thank You" from Cord's family.  The postcard was of Cord and his paint
pony.  That same night our Cord was born.
The Indians worship the white buffalo.  This foal came white with a palomino
war bonnet and palomino spots.  Again, Indian legends say "War Bonnet Paints"
have special powers.  Drying him off I cried because I knew he would be
special.  He was going to carry a great name from a very special young man.
He has now turned all white "Sabino" with blue roan/black underlying skin spots.
